Lots of companies have mission statements. But very few of them actually have a mission. Not so with NetBooks.
Our mission is nothing less than to revolutionize the way small businesses are managed.
We do this for your company by uniting technology, people, and partners into solutions that are as simple as possible, and as powerful as necessary, to run your whole business.
It’s what author and consultant Jim Collins refers to as a “big hairy audacious goal.” And it’s been clear to us from Day One.
Having spent most of my adult life working in
Silicon Valley, and in parallel as a small business owner (
www.davero.com), I can vouch for the fact that very few people in the former understand the latter. Which helps to explain why the solutions that are out there just don’t fit the bill. In fact, other than
QuickBooks, there really isn’t much software that really
serves small business – and there isn’t any software company of substance that is focused single-mindedly on making small businesses more successful.
Until now.Everything we’ve done in putting NetBooks together – the company, the team, the investors, the advisors, the support organization, the partners, and, of course, the software – is built with one goal in mind: building an independent software company dedicated to making your life better.I’ve spent the last five years focused on this because, frankly, I love the people in this market. Small business owners are smart, creative, thoughtful, persistent, determined, adaptive, resourceful, and driven. Together, their businesses are the backbone of the
US economy, employing half the workforce and creating nearly all new jobs.
I simply can’t imagine working for a better group of people.[PS: Most of the time, when a company sets out to create a mission statement it takes a long time and ends up reading like a collection of words from Bullsh*t Bingo. For fun, check out the mission statement generator at Dilbert.com.]
